soon to be lined, but the
   bare woodenness = happiness

i love everything about the walnut shell...except maybe how hard they are to clean and cut:)

they are ready for hinges and upholstery and silken ties and wooden button closures and tiny books within.

wishing them done by april 1st but there is always so much upcoming.

this week coming...walt disney family museum for the ending train exhibit, taking my daughter to pattern making and design school, the ballet (don quixote)and a free evening adventuring in s.f. with my husband.

tiny tree bark books have made it to my etsy shop.  discovering a tiny new hobby along the way...tiny pressed flora...tweezers and pins for glue application are my new favorite tools for a world so tiny.

chasing these nutboxes down creatively since...october...they are finally finished and photographed.  i love the nutboxes sitting there in my etsy shop.  they are always such an undertaking.  more hours than even i can keep track of go into each little natural container.  and when they are complete and i see them in photos i feel such adoration for the meeting of possibility of all the layers....bronze buttons, silk ribbon, tea staining, vintage fabrics and polished nutshells.
